HOLIDAY MARKET 2012  Dec 15+16  &  Dec 22+23

– Different Vendors each weekend – Best 11th hour shopping in NYC – Food trucks and drink specials

Brooklyn Craft Central is entering its 5th year and this is cause for celebration! Coming this holiday, we’re pleased to announce this HOLIDAY MARKET 2012, spread over two December weekends for the first time ever – December 15 & 16 and December 22 & 23, returning to Littlefield in Park Slope/Gowanus.

Curated carefully by native New Yorker and Brooklyn indie champion Deb Klein – once part of the long running and splendid Bazaar Bizarre upon its inception in Boston – Brooklyn Craft Central markets bring together Klein’s design aesthetic with entrepreneurial smarts to appeal to a wide audience of shoppers. Klein founded the BKCC series at the Brooklyn Lyceum in 2008. This is her 11th event as sole organizer and promoter of BKCC, and has had curating roles in other series like E 4th Street Festival and Block Party, MAKE Magazine’s Maker Faire, Dekalb Market, and Crafts in Chelsea.

Welcoming back past favorites and opening the door for brand new talent, Klein and her team are working hard again this year to curate a stellar roster of vendors that New York and the region offers up each year in the way of handmade goods. Both weekends – the final two shopping weekends before Christmas – will feature a plethora of juried designers and products at price points that will please everyone, no matter your budget. Helping shoppers who procrastinate (all of us!) find handmade values – and making it easy to keep out of the big box stores when the clock is ticking down; this is what BKCC does best and will continue doing for another 5 years.

Nate Duval (poster designer for bands like Wilco, Phish, Iron & Wine, Decemberists, Spoon, and countless others) delivers yet another stunning design to represent our running series. Littlefield is a warehouse-turned-club, built uber-sustainably with 6000 square feet of space and just 2 blocks from the R train on the Gowanus/Park Slope border. Littlefield will offer hot (and cold) drinks from the full bar, including weekend-long BKCC Market drink specials.
