This story is long overdue, mostly because the ridiculous amounts of cuteness I have been keeping from you.
Little Bunny is a wonderful and whimsical card design company based in Sunnyside, Queens. Owner and artist Jess Chambers draws lovely animals and uses a gocco printer to create exactly right greeting card for any occasion. Her drawings range from tiny bunnies (above) to fearsome sharks (below, where they usually are).
Every time I catch up with Jess at an artisan market like the Etsy New York Street Team event, such as the recent Spring Handmade Cavalcade, she has new critters on her table. I love her affinity for sea creatures, like the aforementioned sharks, whales, squid, octopi and manatees. Her woodland gang is irresistible as well: celebrating racoons, otters, bunnies. You can find Jess’s great cards any time on her shop, Little Bunny on Etsy.
My only issue with Little Bunny greeting cards is letting them go. This weekend, the Celebrating Racoons are going to my Tiny Niece for her birthday. She is definitely worthy, even though she refuses to stay tiny. The manatee, however, will be mine forever.
