Essex Street Block Party Ushers In Springtime Eats

New York, NY (May 5, 2017) – The start of spring is just around the corner, and that means it’s time to kick off outdoor eating season! On Saturday, May 20th Essex Street Market is throwing its annual Block Party from 12-5pm outside on Essex Street. This springtime affair features the latest and greatest food vendors from both the Essex Street Market and Lower East Side.

 The Bao Shoppe, Petee’s Pie, Patacon Pisao, Saxelby Cheesemongers, Arancini Bros., Osaka Grub, and many more local favorites can’t wait to show off their warm-weather fare. Plus, the almighty kings of Instagram, Ice & Vice, will be pulling out all the stops and creating a specialty ice cream flavor inspired by the Market!

This is a true neighborhood bash: grilling, chilling, and jamming. The majority of food items will be sold for $5 and under. We also have live music by Low Mentality, Yotoco, and DJ Mickey — plus balloon-making and face-painting for the little ones.
