Sarah Wood’s Scarves of Painted Silk are wonderful accessories to bring colorful elegance to your wardrobe. I first saw them at the NYCreates Holiday Fair last December, when Sarah’s booth overflowed with bright, billowing silk.
Sarah hand paints each scarf, and they are all unique pieces of art that you can wear year round. The rich colors, along with the fact that each scarf is distinct, have attracted a devoted following of customers. They are the first to arrive each season and for every show, where they select their favorite pieces to add to their collections of Sarah’s designs.
So my advice to you is to ask Sarah to put you on her mailing list and make a point to stop by her booth early on the first day of her shows. Not that Sarah’s entire collection isn’t beautiful, but to find one that truly catches your eye, you have to get there early.
Upcoming Events: Sarah will be at Crafts On Columbus this weekend, booth number is 50E, located on corner of Columbus Ave. and 80th St. Her upcoming shows include the Christopher Street Block Association Fair on Saturday, May 18 and Crafts at Lincoln Center on June 8-9, 2013.
