Happy Valentine’s Day with a Warm Heart of Stone

Grace Stones Heart

Happy Valentine’s Day!

I realize it’s more like Valentine’s Evening, but I couldn’t let this day go by without expressing my appreciation for everyone who visits this site and everyone who makes it possible. Thank you and much love to you all!

I’ve mentioned the Greenpointers Valentine’s Market, which took place last Sunday, and I wanted to bring your attention to several people who are new to the market scene, one of whom is Nancy Gesimondo of Gracestones.

Nancy creates hand beaded jewelry with semi-precious stones. The beautiful colors, swirls and combination of stone beads and silver or gold-plated findings are what first caught my eye. After speaking with Nancy about her work, I learned a bit more about the power of the different stones and how she uses them to “enhance spiritual growth and support healing.”

Her business card includes instructions for keeping your gemstones empowered by “bathing them in moonlight.” I am sure that wearing one of her beautiful pieces for night out in the city will make both you and your gemstones feel beautiful and energized!

For Valentine’s Day, Nancy featured beautiful Carnelian hearts. They are tokens of love affection, and they are very nice to hold in your hand. It would be nice to keep one in your pocket, just to remind yourself that you are loved. Carnelian is a good thing to have around too: it is said to be energizing and protective, and it promotes good humor. And each heart comes with a sweet love sentiment on a keepsake card. This one says,

It is only with the heart that one can see rightly: what is essential is invisible to the eye. ~ Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Nancy has also been setting up shop with the Queens Traveling Market, and I am hoping she will keep us all posted of her upcoming events because her work is so lovely.
