Recipe: Broiled Tomatillo Salsa
Summary: Deep, flavorful tomatillo salsa
Ingredients
4 Tomatillos, husks removed
1 Garlic Clove
1/2 White or Yellow Onion
1 Jalapeño
Olive Oil
1 tsp Salt
1/2 Lime
1 tbsp Chopped Cilantro
Instructions
Turn on broiler.
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.
Coat all ingredients in a bit of oil and spread on foil covered tray.
Place tray under the broiler until the tomatillos are blistered, about 10 minutes.
You may need to turn them once or twice.
When sufficiently roasted, place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and puree.
Add 1 tsp of salt and juice from 1/2 lime.
Pour into a bowl and stir in chopped cilantro.
