I’m always happy to help spread the word about markets that benefit schools, like this one for PS 9 in Brooklyn:
Come to the Prospect Heights Craft Fair on Saturday, April 13th from 11am to 6pm and explore a lovingly curated marketplace of independent artists and designers from Brooklyn and beyond. You’ll find an extensive showcase of handmade treasures, such as stationery, textiles, artisanal food, jewelry, and so much more. You can see our extensive list of artists on our web site at www.prospectheightscraftfair.com/artists.
Entry to the fair is free and fun for all ages. Shop, munch and don’t miss out on our spectacular raffle.
And for families, we will have kid activities from 12pm to 5pm. For only $5, your child can drop in (with or without a parent) and do any of these activities: 12:00 – 1:00 Josh Farrar reads A Song for Bijou and a performance by singer/songwriter Ossie Dellimore 1:00 – 2:00 First Street Quintet performs “Peter & The Wolf” 2:00 – 3:00 Calling All Scientists! with Jane Powel, Omnilearn 3:00 – 4:00 Abby & Nicole’s Pinwheel Craft Workshop 4:00 – 5:00 Kids Yoga Demo with Kathleen from Shambhala Yoga & Dance Proceeds from the fair benefit the Arts Programs at Prospect Heights’ very own public elementary school, P.S. 9. So you’ll not only be taking home some truly great stuff, you’ll be leaving behind support for a new generation of young crafters and performers.
