The Bronx Night Market Opens On Saturday!

Bronx Night Market

I’ve been waiting to see the Bronx begin hosting markets and highlighting their local artisans, food makers, vintage collectors and more. And now, not only do we have an amazing looking new market in the borough, but also a night market! So on Saturday, June 30th, let’s go celebrate this exciting borough with a great night out in the Bronx!

The first-ever Bronx Night Market is taking place this summer, at Fordham Plaza. With more than 40 handpicked food vendors, it represents the city’s diverse culinary offerings and stands to be the biggest of its kind in the boogie down. The monthly, FREE, open-air festival is a collaboration between quarterly magazine Edible Bronx, Bronx-based creative agency BLOX, and the Fordham BID. And, like the Queens International Night Market, it will highlight local artisans, merchants and of course, the local soundtrack with notable performers.

The festival, kicking off at 4 p.m. on June 30, will recur on the last Saturday of every month through October.

“The market is an effort to bring awareness of just how amazing and diverse our borough is, and how much there is to offer by way of food, drink, culture, and performers,” says event producer Marco Shalma. “It has been our ongoing mission to make sure that the residents of our borough have one more thing to be proud of, and that greater NY recognizes the kinda Bronx we know exists.”
