As you can see below, the holiday markets are in full swing! There are almost two dozen markets happening in addition to the wonderful ongoing events. (The ♥ indicates that these markets are fund raising events for schools.) You don’t want to miss these events!
It’s also the about time to start thinking about bringing the evergreens and poinsettias into your home! You can find a wonderful variety of wreaths and sprays in the Greenmarkets, as well as locally grown trees and poinsettias.
There’s another very special event you’ll want to get to on Saturday! My wonderful and talented friend Nicole Taylor, also known as the Food Culturist, has written the Up South Cookbook: Chasing Dixie in a Brooklyn Kitchen. Nicole will be signing copies of her book at the Union Square Greenmarket on Saturday, December 5 from 11AM – 1PM. This cookbook is the perfect gift for the cooks in your life!
Let the festivities begin!
